Deathmatch tips and Dagger techniques

Well, well, well. As promised, in this post, I will teach you guys the dagger techniques and deathmatch tips. I will teach you the deathmatch tips first.

Deathmatch tips

In deathmatches, it's very important that you do not get sandwiched. What I mean by the term 'sandwich' basically means, there is 1 person or more on both sides of you, shooting at you at the same time. This means you will surely die, because you are taking more damage. In order to prevent this from happening, JUST stay away from long walkways like, for e.g, the Mansion's.

Sandwiching other people is also one of my best techniques to kill people in GunZ. This will also involve some camping skills, but, but, please just make sure to be alert of your surroundings before you ever camp. Back to the topic, after camping at a place you think is safe, when you see a lot of people fighting in a row or just 2 to 3 people fighting, you know you are lucky as you can now spray at them with your highest damage machine gun available.

In GunZ, I always see some players shooting at places where their enemy isn't there, or rather, shooting in the air. NO, NO, NO!!! You'll kill yourself if you waste your ammonition like this. Yes, I know there are ammo top-ups in certain places of the map, but are you fast enough to go and get hold of the top-ups??? Sometimes. Because when you are just close enough to get the top-ups, another player has already gotten it and will then kill you. So, DON'T WASTE YOUR AMMO!!!

Keep moving. I believe this is easy to understand. If you run in a straight line, obviously you'll get killed, right? So, dash and butterfly in all types of directions, until your enemy can't find you, and then shoot them when they come near you.

Make full use of obstacles. If you find that somebody is aiming at you, use obstacles available in the map to waste as much of his ammo and strike back at him, best, at his back. Shoot his legs, body and head. KO!

Always follow your opponent wherever he goes. Don't let him see you following him. If he runs away, it means that he is weak and ALL THE MORE you should kill him. If you see him getting ready in a defensive stance, you know you have now the chance...

Have you ever seen grenades expoding somewhere where a group of players are currently fighting and they get killed?? Sure you have, right? My foreword to you is, throw your grenades strategically. I've always been doing this and it works everytime.

Sword fighting in deathmatches are seen occasionally. Sometimes you should use your sword. When you see your opponent getting ready or he isn't aware, stun him and shoot him. That does the game!

If you ever get attacked by a sword fighter, counter him back. If you shoot him, he will definitely block and at that time, you SHOOT his legs or throw your grenade. Otherwise use your best sword fighting skills to kill him.

Reload in a safe place and this involves knowing your map. In Mansion, I recommend the library. But even if you have some bullets left, reload because this will reduce your chances of reloading in a crossfire and not waste your time.

Dagger techniques

Dagger cancel---Dash, stab, dash
This technique cancels a dash into another dash.

Quick climb---Stab, wall hang
This shortens the wall hang by letting it occur during the wall hang                                      animation.

Super cling---Hold wall hang, wall jump, stab
This is mainly a dagger-only techinque as the sword does not have the                                same effect.

E-lunge---Dash, lunge
These two must be done at the same time.

Dagger insta-fall---Stab, lunge
By doing this with the correct timing, the opponent should fall to                                   the ground without being able to safe-fall.

OK, now, I hope these will be further useful for your combating in GunZ!   :)

Combat Strategy(basic)

In this post, I will teach you guys the various kinds of basic strategies.

1) You HAVE to know your map. If you do not know where you are heading to, you are seeking death. Lets say you are in the map---Battle Arena, if you don't know the map well and you just jump here and there, especially in the basement, chances are you fall into Oblivion, in other words, die. That's why knowing your map is, (I have to emphasise),very, verY, veRY, vERY, VERY  IMPORTANT!!!!!!!! Bear this in mind and you will NEVER EVER go wrong!

2) Camping is one of my favourite strategies. Also known as hiding, you have to do this very often, especially in team games. If you are the only survivor, and there are about 3 to 4 people in the other team, you HIDE, and get rid of them 1 by 1.

3) Patience is of another concern, as in, if you are so eager to kill the others, the more easily you'll get killed.

4) Change your positions, every now and then. Let's say you snipe a lot from the top level of Mansion, they will look for you there, period.

5) As I always bore this in mind, Be Alert, bullets, grenades are aiming at you. Just block, go to another corner, butterfly and kill that whoever threw the bullet or grenade at you.

6) Have foresight, you should be able to guess what's going to happen next when you hear a sound, just trick your opponent by hiding, and then massive them and KILL!!!

7) Relaxation is also important for players or rather, GunZers. I reckon you should play some music in the background, in order to relieve stress during gameplay.

Hope this guide helps. In my next post, I will give you the Deathmatch tips and Dagger Techniques. So, stay tuned!

The 5 important movement techniques

In this post, I will teach you the 5 important techniques to combat well in GunZ.

Slash Climb---It is a move that cancels the wall jump with a slash.
                             Steps--- Wall jump, slash, dash

Quick slash climb---It is basically a slash climb, then cancelling the delay after that slash.
Steps--- Wall jump, slash, change to gun, change to sword, wall dash

Propell---Do not think of Matrix, haha, just kidding. In this move, you cancel a wall-run by                                 slashing the wall in order to flip off the wall and gain speed.
Steps---Dash towards wall at angle, jump, slash

Super Dash---Your character will freeze after falling about a second. You can then take the                                     chance to reload.
Steps---Fall, dash repeately                    (Easy, isn't it?)

Stylish step---A step in which you apply the flash step theory, except that you give an extra                                   block at the end of the move, to block off all bullets.
Steps---Jump, dash, slash, change to gun, change to sword, dash, block

OK, by now, I think you should have known all the techniques. Stay tuned later to see the ultimate tips.

K-style Techniques!

OK! So now I'm going to teach you guys the ultimate way to 'pro-ing' in GunZ.

In K-style, the gist to excelling in it is to know these basic moves.
Wall-cancelling---have your melee weapon ready.
Steps---Run at the wall, jump, jump off the wall, slash, dash at the wall, jump off the wall, slash, dash at the wall, jump off the wall, repeat. ~This move enables you to keep yourself in mid-air, in a way, "levitate".
Multiple-Wall Run---I heard from a lot of players that this is quite a hard move. It is a useful move when you come across maps with oblivions, e.g. Island. If you master it well, you are able to skip that obstacle. You have to run towards the wall at a small angle.
Steps---start a wall-run. When you are near the wall's end, jump off, slash, turn 180 degrees, dash at wall, and double tap space bar. You may turn this into a continuous wall-run without doing the 180 turn.
Light Step---I have to say that this is indeed a good exercise for your fingers, for the half-step and flash-step. But it only lets you dash twice in mid-air.
                     Steps---jump, dash, slash, dash
Butterfly---Ahhh, this is my favourite move, be it in Gladiator or deathmatch, a useful move in all situations. It is, however a must to master in order to fight well in sword fighting.
                     Steps---Jump, dash, slash, block
Slash-shot---This is famous in the world of GunZ. Many players use this move almost every second.
Steps---Jump, dash, slash(hold), change to gun, gun will shoot.

Advanced K-style

Half-step---This move, once you master it WELL enough, you won't even have to use the Slah-shot.
                     Steps---Jump, dash, slash(hold), change, dash(immediately), Gun shoots.
Half half step---To perform this move, your character has to land on the ground first, jump before dashing.                                             Tip: When your character dashes onto the ground, it                                                                                       will bounce in another direction.
Steps---Jump, dash, slash(hold), change to gun, jump, dash, shoot
Eighth-step---This is definitely a nice technique to use, with 3 dashes.
Steps---Jump, dash, slash(hold), change to gun, dash(immediately), jump, dash, gun shoots.
Flash-step---All my friends who used this move, always commented that it was a very good technique to combat. In this move, you get to slash TWICE in one jump.
Steps---Jump, slash, change to gun, change to melee weapon, slash
Million-step---In this move, you get to aim and shoot a stream of bullets in a row for big big damage.
Steps---Jump, dash, slash(hold), change to gun, dash, shoot
Wind-step---Actually, it's just a Half half step with an extra jump, dash.        Yes, just like that.
Wall post---This is a half-step off a wall instead of the ground.
Steps---Jump, dash at wall, slash(hold), jump, change to gun, dash away from wall, shoot
Reload shot---This technique, involves pressing the reload key the same time as pressing the key to changing to another gun and immediately after shooting the first gun. It will work with a weapon which has many clips.                  Tip: You may also combine this with the half half step.
Steps---shoot, reload+change to another gun, shoot
Swap shot---In this move, you get to fire two high delay weapons consecutively, alternating, which equates to a high amount of damage to your opponent. You can combine this with the reload portion of the Wind step to fire two shot gun shots consecutively. This may be done in mid-air, while falling, walking or wall-running.
Steps---Shoot while moving, switch to another gun, shoot, switch to another gun, shoot, repeat.
Unblockable massive---Turn around 180 degrees when you encounter a massive striker who can block. You have to aim the feet as they are still in block mode.
Instant-kill---In this move, you stun your opponent by using the alternating swing of your sword. Then, at the knock, you aim at him with your gun and fire. It's a good way to get rid of your opponent.

Introduction to GunZ

Gunz is a Multiplayer Online Third Person shooting game, created by South Korean based MAIET Entertainment. This game allows players to perform gravity defying moves like, wall running, flipping, tumbling, and blocking bullets with swords.

In Gunz, a majority of the players use a common combat style, known as K-style, which is based on the ability to cancel certain basic combat techniques, and fight using a more advanced way, enabling players to level up faster. Fighting using K-style allows players to switch from a move to another, thereby letting more advanced techniques to be developed. Of course, your finger-work has to be fast and swift, haha. K-style is also the main gameplay attraction to Gunz, as the basic combat skills are tedious.

Players who use K-style, are always seen with a shotgun/revolver/rocket. They use moves like slash shot, half-step, flash-step, wall-cancellations and many else.
However, there is also another style of playing known as E-style. Players who combat using this type of style, are often seen with a revolver/rifle/MG. Obviously, they do not utilise K-style moves, but they dive to get around. This type of gameplay is quite unimpressive but if you use it well, you are no different from K-stylers!
One other style is the Hybrid, which is rarely seen used by players. Players using Hybrid, utilise both K-style and E-style. These players are the best you can find; and use K-style moves frequently. They, of course, are very hard to defeat.

So, now that you have seen the different styles of playing, I will teach you K-style in my next post. Stay tuned!
